Flashback Friday: ""CNN" News Network Motion Graphic circa 1991" by Robert Lyons

"CNN" News Network Motion Graphic. Read the description: (Should be titled "Don't Complain About Renders")

"Produced in 1991 at R. Greenberg Associates in NYC, by Anezka Sabek, this CNN logo with the (not included) James Earl Jones voice-over was used for the next 7-8 years as the station identification. I was hired as technical director to shoot this to 35mm film on their Oxberry camera. It may not look like it, but this five seconds of film, after all the tests were completed, took almost 18 hours to shoot and involved over 100 separate exposures on the film including slit-scans and strobes of each piece as it flies in. I saved the optical exposure sheets that I drew up for this job because they were among the most complicated I had ever done."
